In this setup, you will place some text or graphic element on your school's home page and select it to make it a link to the basic site that has automatically been set up for your school.

Microsoft FrontPage

  1. Open up the file for your home page in Microsoft FrontPage. 

  2. Place some text (something like "Click here for daily tips for parents") or a graphic where you want it to appear on your home page.

  3. Select that text or graphic.

  4. Choose "InsertàHyperlink" (or press Control+K on your keyboard) to get to the
    "Create Hyperlink" box shown below:

  5. Click "OK."

 


 

Macromedia Dreamweaver

  1. Open up the file for your home page in Macromedia Dreamweaver. 

  2. Place some text (something like "Click here for daily tips for parents") or a graphic where you want it to appear on your home page.

  3. Select that text or graphic.

  4. Choose "ModifyàMake Link" (or press Control+L on your keyboard) to get to the
    "Select File" box shown below:

  5. Click "Select."

 


Netscape Composer

  1. Open up the file for your home page in Netscape Composer.

  2. Place the cursor where you want a link to appear.

  3. Choose "Insert-->Link." The "Character Properties" box should appear, open to the "Link" tab.

  4. In the "Link source" field, type the text you want to appear on your page (for example, "Click here for daily parenting tips").



  1. Click "OK."
